About YRDP
Groups of 3-5 riders are organized based on their level for show-jumping and cross country lessons, typically lasting 1.5 hours. 2 of our clinics include a dressage day where riders are paired up for 45 minute lessons.
Expectations:
We want to foster an environment of education and support- riders are expected to show up with positive attitudes and a desire for improvement.
Riders are expected to treat coaches, parents, other clinic participants, venues and their hosts, and horses with respect.
Riders are expected to be present for the entire duration of each clinic and watch the others lessons- this is a great way to learn!
Turnout is standard for a clinic- an ASTM approved helmet, collared riding shirt tucked in with a belt, breeches, and tall boots. XC vests are mandatory for cross country day. Tack should be freshly cleaned, fitted appropriately, and horses should be well groomed, presented and fit.
Throughout the year, each family will be paired up with another to bring a potluck style lunch for one day.
